Urban Living Tampa Bay is not your average realty company. Owner and founder Marvin Meeks has always taken an inside track to residential real estate.

He grew up in Tampa, Florida and used his knowledge of the area and experience in interior design to start a successful business remodeling and restoring homes with his best friend and business partner Robert Diaz. They subsequently opened two other establishments and designed homes from St. Pete, Tampa and Winter Park, ranging from historic traditionals to super modern lofts. Their work has been featured in Florida Design, Interior Design and Orlando magazines.

Meeks purchased his own home, a 1920’s bungalow in the Crescent Lake district of St. Petersburg, and began updating it to accommodate a more modern lifestyle. During the renovation process, Meeks discovered that he didn’t mind getting dirty and enjoyed the restoration. Using their skills from their design business seemed like a perfect fit to transition into home restoration.

The talent to pinpoint potential problems in a home or create solutions to awkward floor plans is essential in understanding resale value. “We look at homes with a different set of eyes,” Meeks notes. Starting a boutique realty company was a natural evolution from there as a way to offer more to clients. Urban Living Tampa Bay was created to cater to homebuyers or renters who appreciate the finer things in life and who value personalized service.

Marvin Meeks is a preferred realtor for the University of South Florida Medical residents and doctors working at Tampa General Hospital, Moffitt, VA, and other medical facilities, as well as being a valued realtor for MacDill Airforce employees and University of Tampa students.
